HELP FILL A 40-FOOT CONTAINER FOR UKRAINE!

In our mission to help The Union Club in collecting Donations for the Ukrainians in need, we were able to collect a grand total of $2,200 in goods in less than a week! All thanks to your generous support!

We’d like to thank Ken Smith and Kyle Mazzuchin our Special Lending Advisor with BMO, for meeting the challenge and donating $500. We’d also like to thank Mark Compton, Matt Cuttiford & Frank Minchin for their generous donations, along with all the other supporters who helped make this happen.

Although the window to support this valuable project in cooperation with the Union Club was a very short one, we also have the opportunity to support the Ukraine refugees stationed in neighboring countries by donating to Lions Clubs International (LCIF) Disaster Relief. Lions Clubs International has clubs of volunteers like Dave and I in Poland and Romania that are on the ground working directly to support the many refugees. Every dollar of every donation goes directly to helping the children and families displaced by their homes due to this devastating war. Club members are volunteers and all administration costs are paid by club member’s annual dues. Wherever there is a need, whether that be a war or a natural disaster like the floods in central BC, Lions members are there in the name of service. It is the largest service club in the world, with members in almost every country.

Our Lions Club, The Victoria Lions, will be making a donation in support of this effort. As a club we are able to request that the funds donated go to a specific project allowing us to ensure it goes to support the Ukrainian refugees. As we had some late donations come in we will be making a donation of $350 to LCIF with it being directed to the support effort in the Ukraine. If you’d like to contribute to this you can donate in the same way as before, by sending the money via e-transfer to bryan@lifeplangroup.ca with a note that it is for the LCIF aid project for the Ukraine refugees.

Thank you to everyone for your incredible generosity and support.

Christmas Hampers 2021

For most of us, the holidays are filled with family, friends and the joy of sharing great food, giving and receiving presents and all the things that make the holidays so special. However, for many others in our community it can be a challenging time as they struggle just to put food on the table, let alone create any kind of meaningful memories for their children.

For close to ten years now we have had the privilege of working with George Jay Elementary School in support of their Holiday Hamper program. Once again, we have committed to providing hampers for at least two local families with gifts of toys, clothing, and grocery cards to provide a warm holiday meal and some seasonal treats.

We are also supporting The Good Food Box Program, a non-profit fruit and vegetable distribution system that provides fresh, healthy produce on a weekly basis throughout the whole year to hundreds of local, low-income families struggling to make ends meet.

This year we will also be collecting non-perishable food items at the office for donation to one of our local food banks. Feel free to drop off a donation to the box located in our reception area.

We are always overwhelmed by the fantastic response we get from our wonderful advisors, and we ask that you help us again this year by giving generously to these very worthy causes.

System Updates

Don’t take upgrades for granted or leave till the last minute. They can keep you safe and secure.

It is best to keep your device’s operating system and software updated. You can enable automatic updates, or you can install the update when prompted.

The best time to do this is during off-hours. If the prompt for the update comes at an inconvenient time, you can always set up a reminder.
