Part Time Data Entry/Office Administrator

This is a part-time position (Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm)

LifePlan Financial Group Victoria is looking for a part time Data Entry and Office Administrator. Our office is located between Mayfair Mall and Uptown. The ideal candidate would be someone hard working, adaptable, a self-starter, multi-tasking individual, who is eager to help and collaborate with various team members. This position would be responsible for the majority of inputting data into our system databases from paper documents. Our ideal candidate must have high attention to detail and a team player in a busy environment. Investment and Life Insurance experiences are an asset but not a must.

Job Summary:

Reporting to Risk Manager and Investment Manager, the Data Entry/Office Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the business unit that includes, data-entry, general clerical tasks and filing.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing/data entry / scanning as requested;

  • Financial/Insurance documents and other filing, as requested;

  • Copying and general assistance as required;

  • Coordinating courier pick-up and delivery services

  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies;

  • Type correspondence and reports; edit and update various spreadsheets;

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Relationships:

  • The role reports to Risk/Insurance Manager & Investment Manager;

  • Direction or requests may come from any member of the management team;

  • There are no positions reporting to this position.

Accountability:

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with data entry; 

  • Experience in dealing with confidential information with discretion;

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Windows 7 & 10;

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve common goals;

  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a highly professional environment;

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; and

  • Independent judgment is required to prioritize, plan, organize a diverse workload.
